Parish of Heysham St Peter with St James and St Andrew

St Peter’s is a popular church for weddings and we advise couples not to book receptions until they have confirmed that the church will be available.

We can offer weddings to qualifying persons who have not been married before. For various reasons we cannot offer this to those who have been married before and whose former spouse is still alive.

The marriage vows are specifically Christian and are not suitable for those of a non-Christian faith

To book a wedding you will need to contact the Rector who will arrange a time for you to see him to fill in some forms and to agree your wedding date and time.

Three months before your wedding you will need to see the Rector again to confirm the practical arrangements such as music and flowers.

One month before your wedding your Banns will be read in church and ten days before your wedding there will be a rehearsal. To allow for photography we allow two hours for each wedding.

Please make sure that you and your guests arrive in good time for the Wedding. The car parking outside St Peter's is limited and although it is strictly for church users it is often used by other drivers. There is a large car park at the top of Main Street.

Please note
